Specialist for signal pathways and molecular target profiling

CZ-OPENSCREEN: National Infrastructure of Chemical Biology (Institute of Molecular Genetics, Prague) is seeking a highly-motivated candidate for cellular and biochemical profiling of bioactive compounds and potential drugs.

Job description

• -Support of collaborative and multidisciplinary projects focusing on the development of selective probes and drug candidates
• Development of cell-based and biochemical assays for compound profiling using automated robotic systems
• Tissue culture work using standard cancer cell lines and primary cells
• DNA cloning, DNA and protein electrophoresis, western blotting, reporter assays etc.
• Independent conduction of experiments and data analysis from compound profiling experiments (determination of EC/IC50)

 Required skills/qualification:

• Master´s degree or PhD in biochemistry and molecular/cell biology or related biomedical areas
• Good presentation skills.
• Organization skills and effective time planning, ability to work systematically
• Good social skills, ability to collaborate with other team members
• Independence, creativity, flexibility, abstract and critical thinking
• Good verbal and written communication in English

Salary and additional information: We offer competitive salary dependent on candidate’s experience. The contract is initially for 1 year with the possible extension up to 5 years.
