We are offering a position of Postdoctoral Researcher within the research team of Dr. Kubala focused on evaluation of the molecular aspects of adenylyl cyclases at the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne´s University Hospital in Brno (FNUSA – ICRC). We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral fellow who will join the Laboratory of Inflammation.

Job Description:

Postdoc researcher

Expertise: Biochemistry and molecular biology

• Evaluation of the molecular aspects of adenylyl cyclases in broader aspects of biology for pharmaceutical applications.
• Enzymology of different isoforms of adenylyl cyclases, biochemical aspects of these enzymes.
• Determination of enzyme kinetics and screening of specific activators and inhibitors using the currently developed screening methods suitable for detection of the enzymatic activity of all different membrane bound human adenylyl cyclase isoforms in both membrane based and cell based set up.

Desirable Qualifications:

The applicant should have a solid knowledge of biochemistry and molecular biology with special focus on enzymology. An insight into drug design will be appreciated. The experience of the applicant with basic methods of biochemistry and molecular biology and other advanced techniques should cover the following:

• Ph.D. in biochemistry or molecular biology
• Advanced experience in functional characterization of proteins
• Experience with protein expression and purification
• Experience in evaluation of drug potencies and drug screening
• Good level of communication in English language (verbal and written)
