| Description: | Foundation NBIC initiates and coordinates research, education and support activities to stimulate the development of the field of bioinformatics. To this end, NBIC receives significant funding from the Dutch government. NBIC establishes a network in which bioinformatics groups from universities, medical centres, knowledge institutes and industry in the Netherlands closely cooperate. The three major collaborative programmes are BioRange (research), BioAssist (support) and BioWise (education). |
