Regional Contact Organization of South Bohemia - contact for the European Research Area would like to cordially invite you to a series of short webinars “Leadership skills for researchers”.

Series of webinars focused on topics related to team work and career development in research. Webinars will cover three domains – working with people, organization and environment and individual skills and competencies.

The first session will introduce concepts related to different types of personalities, traits and skills expected from researchers during different stages of the career. We’ll talk about how emotions affect our behaviour and how this may affect the performance of a team.  The topics will be discussed in the context of neuro research findings.

Researchers need to be creative and open to change. However, every organization represents a specific social environment that affects performance of individuals. We will look into the most recent research findings related to creativity and change in order to understand how organization can limit or support creative thinking. Webinar will also give you some practical tips on how to train creative thinking.

There has not yet been found any universal remedy that would turn people into good leaders. Yet, research related to leadership skills can help us to understand what it means to be a good leader and how to train our individual skills and behaviour to become one.
