The International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne's University Hospital in Brno (FNUSA-ICRC) is a new-generation research center with more than 200 researchers. We focus on research and development mainly in the fields of cardiovascular and neurological diseases trying to find new methods, technologies and medicaments for effective prevention, early diagnostics and individualized treatment.

We are looking for an experienced data manager to oversee the development and use of data systems.

An ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of data analysis databases and procedures. You will also be tech savvy and have excellent problem solving skills. The goal is to ensure that information is timely and secure from inside the organization.

Starting date: January 2018

Your main tasks will include:

• Create and enforce effective data management policies
• Formulate techniques for collecting quality data to ensure the adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
• Create and implement effective and secure data processing and analysis techniques with an emphasis on all technical aspects
• Establishing rules and procedures for data sharing with senior management, external stakeholders,
• Encourage others to use day-to-day data systems and ensure compliance with legal and business standards
• Assistance in assembling and extracting data when needed
• Monitor and analyze information and data systems and evaluate their performance to find ways to improve them (new technologies, upgrades, etc.)
• Ensure that digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data loss
• Troubleshoot data problems and authorize maintenance or editing

 We are looking for somebody with:

• Experience as data manager
• Excellent knowledge of data management and management (collection, analysis, distribution, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern database and information technologies
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, etc.)
• Analytical thinking with problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• BSC / BA in Computer Science or relevant fields
• Experience with RedCap  welcome
