Description:

The Czech Customs Administration is a security corps and its activities lie within the system of customs supervision over goods in the framework of the single customs territory of the European Union.
The bodies of the customs administration have the position of a police authority, i.e. a body active in criminal proceedings where they are related to selected crimes in the area of customs
duties, taxes, smuggling of drugs, and also in the area of breach of the regulations on management of controlled goods and technologies, foreign trade in military material, prohibited means of combat and radioactive material or of protected fauna and flora, as well as illegal disposal of hazardous wastes and, last but not least, violation of authors’ rights, industrial rights and
rights to trademarks.
