An International Journal on Biochemistry, Physiology, Genetics, Morphology and Ecology of Microorganisms Journal of Basic Microbiology publishes results of fundamental research on prokaryotic and eucharyotic microorganisms. Particular consideration is given to papers dealing with general aspects of microbial physiology, biochemistry, cytology, genetics, ecology, taxonomy, virology and biotechnology. Original papers, short communications and review articles on relevant problems in microbiology as well as book reviews are presented.
