Španělské technologické centrum hledá partnery pro vývoj houbovitého materiálu z kopolymeru styren-butadien-styren (SBS) s oblastmi s rozdílnou hustotou.

Description:
The Furniture and Wood Technological Center would be interested in the development of a technology to obtain foamed products from SBS (styrene-butadiene-styrene) copolymers which present zones in their structure characterized by a different density values. This product would be used in upholstered furniture as alternative padding material to the traditional flexible polyurethane foams. Nowadays, flexible polyurethane foams with different local density values are being used in upholstered industry but their production implies the use of polyisocyanate, considerably toxic, and an exhaustive control of the production process due to the exothermy of the reaction.

Technical Specifications / Specific technical requirements of the request:
The physical properties of the SBS foamed products would have to be similar or even better than those obtained for typical polyurethane foams with different local density values used in upholstered furniture.
