Holandská společnost hledá technologie pro zpracování biomasy řas.
Očekává se, že v udržitelné ekonomice budou hrát řasy čím dál větší úlohu (pohlcování CO2, čištění odpadní vody, zpracování hnoje), vedoucí k velké produkci biomasy řas. Tato společnost hledá různé technologie pro zpracování různých druhů řas a pro extrakci rozdílných látek.

Description:
It is expected that in a sustainable economy algae will become more and more important. The SME wants to develop biorefinery systems aimed at exploration/exploitation of algal biomass. Sustainable processing of wastestreams (including all types of manure), capturing CO2, focussed culture of algae for the pharma industry and breeding of several species of marine organisms (fish, shellfish, shrimp) all offer interesting opportunities. The exploration of algae as a bio-resource is therefore becoming more and more popular.
Part of the algae can be used directly as food in marine culture and part can be used as ingredients in the health/cosmetics industry. Another part can be used more or less directly in the pharma industry, but it is expected that a huge mass of algae will have to be processed and refined to extract valuable compounds to be used as food additives or base materials in the pharma industry. This latter application requires biorefinery plants.

The Dutch SME is in the process of designing such plants and is looking for extracting/refining technologies for different types of algae and compounds to be extracted.

Technical Specifications:
No special requirements, although the processes should be able to separate vulnerable compounds. This may require low-temperature processes.
