Hledáme technologie pro získání fosforečnanů z hnoje a odpadní vody.

Datum: 2.10.2012

Description:
Worldwide some areas (especially in The Netherlands) have a manure surplus. In line with the Biobased Economy the SME aims to separate as much useful raw materials from the manure as possible. At this moment manure is directly used locally as a fertilizer for the foodcrop.
The company is addressing the problem of extracting phosphate from separated (extorted) animal manure. Separated manure contains mainly a mixture of lignine and (ortho)phosphate salts.
A lot of small scale initiatives for manure processing are in operation, but no generally accepted optimal solution has emerged. At the moment manure is used in bio fermenters for the production of biogas, while the digestate (=fermentated manure) is used as fertilizer.
“the state of the art technology” should separate the manure in pure raw materials without interference materials using the least amount of energy or better, with a netto yield of energy. At the moment most elements of the process have been proven possible.

The company is looking for the best way (chemical or physical) to separate phosphate from manure, and produce pure phosphate for use as a base material.
As manure contains a lot of unidentified salts separation is not easy. Especially while phosphate salts dissolve badly in contrast to potassium. Of course this behaviour could be influenced by the proper (bio)chemical processes. Other interfering elements, hindering te separation process are Ca, Mg, S, Mg, Fe, Cl etc. (well known elements for manure specialist). The company is working on integration of the best technologies for different steps of the process.

The company has expertise/experience available in the fields of mechanical engineering, trouble shooting, prototyping, finance and exploitation of productionplants.

At the current rate of consumption, the world supply of phosphorus was estimated to run out in 345 years. According to Wikipedia, some scientists are of the opinion that in 30 years a "peak consumption" will occur and that at current rates, reserves will be depleted in the next 50 to 100 years.
The process the company wants to implement should alleviate or even solve the depletion of phosporus by re-using it as a raw material.

The optimal technology will be implemented in the companies future plants. Close collaboration will be profitable for both parties. Depending on the state of the offered technology (development phase, laboratory tested or available for demonstration) and financial possibilities, conditions for mutually beneficial co-operation are favourable.

Technical Specifications:
The technology is intended for use in small to medium scale (bio)reactors primarily to be placed at farms. In many cases co-substrates are needed in the existing processes and efforts are being made to include use poultry manure (dry manure) to replace co-substrates.
