The French company produces iron oxide nanoparticles synthesized by magnetotactic bacteria, called magnetosomes. The magnetosomes are administered to the tumors and heated under the application of an alternating magnetic field. The heat produced by the magnetosomes induces anti-tumoral activity. The proof of concept of the therapy has been realized on tumors xeno-grafted under the skin of mice. The French company has shown that it was possible to completely destroy the tumors using its technique.
At the present time, the French company is looking for a company specialized in cancer treatment, an oncologist or a group of research specialized in oncology that would be interested to test this cancer treatment on a specific cancer.
