Postdoctoral Research Associate in research team of molecular immunology

We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate or an experienced researcher to strengthen our team of molecular immunology. We study mechanisms involved in the development of genetically determined immune system disorders, with special focus on mRNA splicing affecting events. Ultimately, understanding the molecular effect of specific mutations on splicing will help to understand the regulatory code and lead to better genetic diagnostics.

We are expecting

• person with strong background and PhD (or MSc with experience) in the field of molecular biology, biochemistry or related subjects;
• experience in PCR and molecular cloning, experience and skills in experimentation with RNA and cell culture and experience with protein analysis is of advantage;
• coordination of research projects;
• coordination of routine laboratory processes;
• supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate students;
• publication activity;
• enthusiastic and well-organized co-worker willing to collaborate and discuss his/her ideas with other team members.

• starting date: April / May 2015
• duration: 7-8 months with the possibility of extension;
