The journal publishes original articles by international scientists on the progress of research in animal production, quantitative genetics, biology, and evolution of domestic animals. Researchers, teachers, and the animal breeding industry will find the reports of interest. Articles are published in English and German (approximately 90% of contributions are in English). Book reviews appear in many issues.
